The ‘Fire & Spice’ food fest that is currently going on at the Hilton Garden Inn Trivandrum is a perfect occasion to check out a variety of special fiery kebabs and spicy curries. The timing of this food promotion at their Garden Grille restaurant is just right during this season of wet and cold weather in our capital city.
My tryst with my favourite North Indian sweet, the Jilebi continues, this time at the South Park hotel in Trivandrum. Enjoy the video.
Indian sweets especially Jilebi is my weakness. So when Shankar, the Executive Chef at the Hil told me that they are making different varieties of jilebies for their weekend offerings, I just couldn’t resist myself and rushed to their Garden Grille restaurant for a bite. The jilebies, freshly prepared by Chef Sonjay and topped with some finger-licking rabdi, were crisp, juicy and delicious. Apart from Imarti, another traditional north Indian dessert, there was Pineapple jilebi and Apple jilebi also, which were ok for a change but I would stick to the traditional stuff.
