Start with the Lassi and finish with the Masala Chai, suggested Hari Krishnan, the Sous Chef at Vivanta by Taj, Trivandrum; a premium luxury hotel in the capital city. That’s exactly what I did at the Dhaba fest currently going on there. And in between I had Chole Batture, Aloo Tikki & Pankhuri Fry for starters, Spicy Jinga Kachumar Chaat for salad; and Butter Chicken & Phulka, and a spoonful of Mutton Biriyani for the main course. A special treat from the Sous Chef was the Kadi Pakoda and Sarong ka Saag (which was not there on the buffet). For dessert, it was a bite of Anjeer Barfi, Kaju Roll, Kala Jamun Badam Cultet, and Rice Kheer.
I am not a full time blogger but I do blog once in a while. Last week when I got an invite from the Vivanta by Taj – Trivandrum, a premium luxury hotel in the capital city, for their Italino Food Promo, apart from doing my usual news report, thought would do a blog post also. It’s not often that you get to review an International cuisine while you relish and taste some of the best Italian delicacies in its authentic style and flavour.
After all these years on a free blogging platform, first starting with Blogger / Blogspot and then here on WordPress, I have now moved on to my own domain and self hosted blog My Open Views (www.myopenviews.com). It will be a continuation of my thoughts, views and comments on topics that interest me.
I look forward to meeting you there. I hope you will find my blog posts interesting and useful. Thank you.

Ex-employees are usually under stress to get the mediclaim renewed for themselves and their spouses as they hardly get the renewal forms on time, by post. Over these years, we have seen that Insurance Companies and Third Party Administers (TPA) have not been very customer friendly but for the two years, the renewal form is available online on the SAIL website and there is also a provision to make the premium payment online through State Bank of India (SBI).
I have filed my nomination for the elections to our Church Managing Committee for 2016-17. We have three groups in our Cathedral in Trivandrum but I am standing as an independent candidate from my ward. There are 1,400 families but less than 700 individuals have made it to the final voters list. I know I don’t have any chance against heavyweight candidates who have been Committee Members or Officer Bearers for the last 18-25 years but I want to give it a try.
These are some of my ideas for change in our parish:
